Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Program (NPPCP)

Announced by the Government of Alberta in April 2024, the NPPCP is an exciting initiative for NPs who wish to practise comprehensive primary care and operate their own independent clinics, or practise independently in team-based care settings. 
The CRNA's Statement on Nurse Practitioner Registration

The CRNA appreciates that there is excitement regarding the new opportunities for NPs and recognizes that they are highly sought professionals in Alberta. The College remains committed to ensuring equitable registration opportunities and improving our processes for the benefit of Alberta's health care ecosystem.
