Microsoft Power BI Developer

At the CRNA, we are committed to driving data-driven decision making across our organization. We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Power BI Developer to transform complex data sets into actionable business intelligence solutions. This role serves as a bridge between technical data management and business strategy implementation, ensuring collaborators at all levels have access to accurate, timely and meaningful insights.

Reporting to the Director, Technology Strategy & Enablement, this temporary, full-time position will play a crucial role in designing and implementing Power BI solutions that drive organizational success.

What You Will Do

Data Analysis and Visualization

  • Design and implement Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to organizational needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and visual clarity across all deliverables.
  • Develop interactive features for enhanced user engagement.
  • Provide insights through detailed data analysis to identify trends and patterns.

Data Integration and Architecture

  • Establish and maintain connections to various data sources including Azure services.
  • Design and implement ETL processes for data transformation.
  • Create and maintain data warehousing solutions.
  • Ensure data security and access control measures are properly implemented.
  • Develop and document data governance standards.

Engagement and Training

  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business units.
  • Provide training and support for Power BI users across the organization.
  • Create documentation for end-users and technical teams.
  • Present data insights to collaborators at various levels.
  • Maintain regular communication with project collaborators.

Innovation and Process Improvement

  • Research and implement new Power BI features and capabilities.
  • Develop reusable templates and components.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Contribute to the establishment of BI development standards.

What You Possess

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience with demonstrated expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, DAX and M languages.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics).
  • Strong background in data governance, security and access control.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Proven ability to integrate and manage large, complex datasets.
  • Effective communication and collaborator management.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities.

  • A temporary full-time employment opportunity, starting March 2025 through to February 2026. with the possibility of extension.
