Governance & Regulatory Programs Coordinator
At the CRNA, we are dedicated to ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of governance and regulatory programs. As part of our commitment to regulatory excellence, we are seeking a Governance & Regulatory Programs Coordinator to support the efficient operation of regulatory committees, Council activities and governance education initiatives.
Reporting to the Director, Governance, Regulation & Standards, this role will act as a central point of coordination for governance and regulatory programs, ensuring smooth committee operations, supporting recruitment and onboarding of committee and Council members, and managing educational modules.
This position will work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to uphold best practices in governance and regulatory oversight.
Primary Responsibilities
Governance and Committee Operations
- Organize and facilitate governance and regulatory committee meetings, ensuring materials, schedules and minutes align with organizational standards.
- Act as a liaison between committees and internal departments, streamlining communication and decision making.
- Provide technical and administrative support during meetings (e.g., virtual meeting platforms, presentations).
Recruitment, Onboarding and Professional Development
- Develop and administer competency assessment tools to evaluate Council and committee members.
- Manage recruitment processes, including interview scheduling, documentation and external consultant coordination.
- Develop and maintain onboarding and briefing materials for new Council and committee members.
- Identify and coordinate training and professional development opportunities for committee members.
Educational Modules and Policy Development
- Maintain and track education module content, ensuring version control and accessibility.
- Lead the development and revision of education modules in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Ensure governance policy manuals are up to date and in compliance with review schedules.
Team Coordination and Administrative Oversight
- Manage and track budgets, expenses and reconciliations for governance and regulatory programs.
- Maintain governance and regulatory documentation in accordance with best practices.
- Provide administrative support for regulatory and standards consultants.
What You Possess
Education
Completion of a post-secondary program (minimum two years) in public administration, business or a related field.
Experience
5-7 years of experience in governance, regulatory coordination or related administrative role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered on a one-for-one basis.
Skills & Competencies
- Governance & Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of governance principles, regulatory frameworks and committee operations.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines and coordinate complex schedules.
- Effective Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external partners.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with virtual meeting platforms, document management systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Problem Solving & Adaptability: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, resolve scheduling conflicts and manage competing priorities.
- Budget & Financial Tracking: Experience managing financial resources, reconciliations and vendor invoices.
